Day 1 on day 3? or Reflection

So before Christmas I bought a book by Orly Wahba, entitled 'Kindness Boomerang - How to save the world (and yourself) through 365 daily acts'. My thoughts were to post one per day, starting on Jan 1st... As with all good intentions, I got delayed on the start date, however better late than never they say, so this is the first one....

Day 1, the first act is, to "Create a list of goals for the day, the week, the year." The author states that all of us have an "immense amount of potential and can achieve more that you (we) can imagine".

There follows a quote from Deb Sofield, "Your past is not your future. You have the power to make new decisions for your life starting today."

A lot of us are guilty of reflecting on the negative aspects of our lives. The things we have not yet accomplished, focusing on where we want to be rather than where we are. Not celebrating what we have achieved.

I myself am very guilty of this.  I have wasted too much time dwelling on the negative parts of my life instead of the positive, and the here and now. I am proud to be where I am today. I worked so hard to get here, and I am finally taking some time to enjoy the moment, smell the roses, and trust that whatever is meant to happen will, in good time.

Life is a precious gift for us to enjoy.

  1. I've been learning this as well. Not quit where I want to be but taking life one day at a time. 🌹
